Historical Images
In addition to primary collections, the Institute also archives historical images in the public domain for multimedia presentations. Some of the areas covered include: Civil War and Reconstruction, Immigration, 1930s Depression, Labor, Farm Workers' Movement, Civil Rights, Indigenous Peoples of California, and the Japanese American Internment. The Institute is compiling an original visual collection on local and regional history.
