2011-2012 Ed Kennedy Scholarship

The Monterey Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to a student interested in and pursuing a career in the field of journalism. The scholarship will be funded through the Community Foundation of Monterey County and was established to honor Ed Kennedy, a former Executive Editor of the Monterey Peninsula Herald, who died a tragic death in November, 1963.

AVID Writers Conference on March 22, 2011

"HCOM will proudly serve as the co-sponsor of the 2011 AVID Writers
Conference on March 22. This event will bring over 400 secondary
school students and their teachers to CSUMB to experience a day of
college-style writing workshops. Poet Diana Garcia will give the
keynote address."

Apply Now for the Florence C. and Alwin R. Krause Scholarship for the Division of Humanities and Communication!

This scholarship provides financial assistance to students with financial need who are majoring in Human Communication (HCOM) at CSU Monterey Bay Bay.

You are eligible to apply for the scholarship if:
•You are enrolled in CSUMB's Human Communication Bachelor of Arts Program.
•You have completed at least 60 units at the time of the award.
•You demonstrate financial need per the campus financial aid process.
