Theories and practices of racialized and gendered citizenship in the United States; gender and race in the construction of political ideologies; United States Social/Political History; Women's Studies; Feminist Theories; Ethnic Studies; Social Movement Theories and Histories; Cultural Studies- especially United States popular cultures; Militarism; Civil Rights Movement(era); and Social Movements of the Post WW II period.

Community Interests:
Grassroots organizations and activism for justice and peace; women's rights organizations, public school curriculum enhancement through regaining arts and music programs.
