TEMPLATES AND GUIDES

Presentation:

I care a GREAT DEAL about presentation. Correct spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure are the bare minimums for successful communication. Your ideas will be taken seriously if they are presented with care! If there are too many obstacles in the way (misspellings, incomplete sentences), your reader will rebel.

For every assignment, make a draft. I AM HAPPY TO READ DRAFTS AT ANY TIME. Revise the draft. Proofread the final version. This means, ANTICIPATE THE DUE DATE OF THE ASSIGNMENTS BY TWO WEEKS.

Except for transcripts, please run everything you do through Spell check (in Word you can turn on the feature that underlines misspellings as you write! Use it!). Also proofread for errors that Spell check will not pick up: to/too/two; effect/affect; there/their, etc.

Run through a Grammar check. Please, no incomplete sentences!

After 5 misspellings and/or incomplete sentences, your work will be returned for revision and it will be graded as LATE.

Templates and Guides:

You will be given templates for transcriptions and journals, and guides for annotations, logs, and other instruments. These are intended to facilitate your work, and help you produce uniform and neat documents.
