ORAL HISTORY AND COMMUNITY MEMORY INSTITUTE AND ARCHIVE (OHCM)

The Oral History and Community Memory Institute and Archive (OHCM) is an applied research program within the Institute for Human Communication. OHCM sponsors project-based courses in local, oral, and public history; it is at the forefront of integrating New Media into the humanities classroom at CSUMB. OHCM is currently sponsoring the CSU-wide workshop: "Transforming Humanities Pedagogy Through New Media Workshops." OHCM is working to develop a Visual and Sound Archive for the Monterey Bay area and has on-going relations with local museums, arts and history organizations.
