DEPTH CONCENTRATIONS
8) THE PRE-LAW CONCENTRATION
The Pre-Law Concentration offers an intensive, interdisciplinary
preparation in argumentation, reasoning, and legal decision-making
processes. Students may choose a topic or theme around which
to organize their study.
Through this concentration, students have the opportunity
to focus on the following:
- Models of argumentation.
- Multicultural and invitational communication theories and
practices.
- Practical reasoning.
- Ethical and effective advocacy.
- Empathic, self-reflexive listening skills.
- Philosophical perspective on the law.
- Negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
