DEPTH CONCENTRATIONS

8) THE PRE-LAW CONCENTRATION

The Pre-Law Concentration offers an intensive, interdisciplinary preparation in argumentation, reasoning, and legal decision-making processes. Students may choose a topic or theme around which to organize their study.

Through this concentration, students have the opportunity to focus on the following:

  • Models of argumentation.
  • Multicultural and invitational communication theories and practices.
  • Practical reasoning.
  • Ethical and effective advocacy.
  • Empathic, self-reflexive listening skills.
  • Philosophical perspective on the law.
  • Negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
